PROVIDING SPECIAL ACTION AND WEAPON TRAINING COURSES TO THE FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY
The Movie Militia course has been designed for the complete novice, the Extra looking for something extra, or those with no formal military training. This training package will build confidence and may enhance the chance of selection by a production company, as well as adding to the Continuing Professional Development for those wishing to pursue a career as a successful Supporting Artist.
On commencement of the course, all students will be taken through a safety brief, followed by a step by step training package using an array of weapons and equipment. The lessons will be in and outdoors, utilising buildings and vehicles, in order to educate each attendee in how to become a well trained, highly successful Supporting Artist in the TV and Film industry.
Our courses also include preparation for and travel to work, what to expect on arrival on location and the role and duties expected of a professional Supporting Artist. We will also cover on set etiquette, crew responsibilities, production hierarchy, and pay and allowances.
Our 1 day course will cover all information to get you started in this industry, giving you an insight of how to be best prepared in order to secure those better paid action rolls in TV shows and big budget blockbuster movies. This course will also be the foundation for our Level 2 course (Industry Professional) where we concentrate solely on the use of Firearms, tactical movement and choreographed action sequences.
Each student will be photographed and given copies for their own profile, as well as given advice on casting agencies and shown how to train for and apply to become a member of the British Stunt Register.
